RE: Folding shelf brackets

We found something similar in the closet shelving department of our local Menards store.

RE: St Andrews State Park Aug 2

We won't be there, but if you wouldn't mind doing me a favor I would greatly appreciate it. Based on your great reviews we've reserved site 108 for a week next April. I've seen your pictures of the site, but would love to see some more in detail shots of the site and such. We have never been and it would be nice to see where we are going. Have a good time!!

RE: Women in Michigan killed by trailer...

Wow, this story sounds very similar to another tragedy here over the weekend. A lady went out to close the door on her pole barn when she was killed. Now I can't remember if it was a tree that fell on her or what happened. Unfortunately we had 5 deaths over the weekend here in West Michigan due to the storms.

RE: WIFI at Holland State Park

This is the first I've heard anything about WiFi in the state parks.

RE: RV Repo web sites, ANY SUGGESTIONS??

We bought our TT from a repo lot and it was very well kept. It was 2 years old at the time. If you do your homework and are somewhat mechanically inclined you should be able to figure out if the RV has been well taken care of. Good luck!

RE: Repo'd RVs

We purchased our TT from a "Repo Lot" last spring and couldn't be happier with the TT!! It was a 2005 and in perfect condition. We made an offer below what it was worth and the bank accepted it.

RE: Michigan LP State Parks in June

We are the opposite...we prefer the channel section of Muskegon. There is too much shade in the other section. There is plenty of shade to be found in the channel section, but it's not as dark feeling as the other. The pads are paved, but there is a lot of sand so of that bothers you then you will not like it. We like being able to walk the channel. You can take a short walk to Muskegon Lake and there is a nice swimming area there. Or you can walk maybe 1/2 mile at the most down the channel to the big lake and there is a nice little beach area there as well. Muskegon is our favorite.

RE: The old folding web chairs

I just purchased some at Walmart last week, but it was out in the garden section by some chairs.

RE: Almost an Extreme Makeover

Looks great!! Did you take any precautions so the slideout wouldn't scratch the new flooring? I would love to put in some sort of hard surfaced flooring in ours, but wasn't sure if the slideout would do any harm.

RE: awning mats

I like that the dirt just falls right through them. We have never noticed ours being slippery either.

RE: Favorite Michigan SP?

What a great topic!! We've only stayed at Muskegon SP so far, but we keep going back because we just love being on the channel and having that view. We also like being able to have a short walk to both Muskegon Lake & Lake Michigan. Muskegon also has some nice walking trails as well. I'm hoping more poeple post their favorites so we can get other ideas of places to go.

RE: RV Roadtrips is back

RV Roadtrips is what got my husband and I into wanting an RV! We would watch it on Sunday morning while eating our breakfast and one day we both looked at each other and said, "I think we should look into buying a trailer!" Best thing we ever did...camping (or as my husband calls it...RVing) is our only nirvana.

RE: Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort, *here right now*

It's currently raining here in Michigan...just didn't want you to forget what you left behind. ;-) Enjoy your vacation....i'm jealous, but our turn is next year when we will be heading down to St. Andrews State Park!

RE: UGH!!! FLOODED!!!!St Andrews Trip report

All the camping spots are on the bay or close to it. You have to walk or ride, albeit inside the confines of the park, to get to the "beach". Right, I knew that. I should have phrased my question a bit different....sorry about that. I know that some of the waterfront spots on the lagoon have a rocky beach...I was looking to stay away from the rocky section and we wanted a nice view. Thanks though...I appreciate it. :-)

RE: UGH!!! FLOODED!!!!St Andrews Trip report

Is the beach nice in site 24? We are planning a trip for April of 2009 and I'm trying to do my homework on good sites. I have a few that I was told were good and I've seen site 24 mentioned before. Our TT is 30' btw. Oh and if you have any pics of your site or any others you think I would like to see I would love it. Thanks!!

RE: Rear Kitchen Problems?

We too have a rear kitchen and have never had a problem. I line the cupboards with the rubberized liner and I use those adjustable bars as well. Never had a cupboard fly open or have my stuff move. I even store my pots and pans above the microwave with one of those bars going across the front and they have never flown off.

St. Andrews St. Park question

My husband & I are planning a camping trip to St. Andrews in Florida in April of 2009 for our 10 year anniversary for a week. I would like some recommendations on a good site. Here is what we would like. A waterfront site with no boulders for the beach. A private lot that is not cramped or too narrow. Our TT is about 28' with one slide. We would prefer some shade as well and of course the view needs to be top notch. I've seen some pics of campsites, but it's so hard to tell how wide the sites are in the pictures, they all look so narrow to me. Also if anyone will be there anytime soon and would like to scout out some sites for us and take some pictures that would be appreciated as well. Also...when is spring break down there? We were thinking of being there the week of April 12th. Thanks!!

RE: RV Today with Stew

I don't have the Premier package and I now have The Outdoor Channel. You might want to give Directv a call and find out.

RE: Computer and Internet in an RV?

If something like this happens--works fine in the store, but nowhere else, will Verizon take it back? I'd love to have an aircard, have Verizon cell service so would like to stay with them as I am satisfied. We have yet to find a good solution for connecting to the internet. We thought we solved the problem by getting a verizon aircard. This worked fine at the store and at our house but didn't work anyplace else we went. AT&T will give you a 30 day trial period plus they have an online map so you can see where they offer their services.
